Craft Activity: Build a Mario Level Diorama!

Once you’ve finished coloring your favorite pages, you can turn them into a real 3D Mario level! This is a fun and easy craft project you can do with a shoebox.

  • Step 1: Carefully color and cut out Mario, some Goombas, and a few Question Blocks from your printed pages.
  • Step 2: Take an empty shoebox and paint the inside light blue for the sky, and green for the ground.
  • Step 3: Tape a small piece of folded cardboard behind each of your cut-out characters so they can stand up on their own.
  • Step 4: Glue the Question Blocks onto the “sky” background, and place Mario and the Goombas on the ground. You’ve just created your own physical Super Mario level!
