- 🔥 Glowing Firebending Flames: Zuko and Azula create massive, powerful flames! To make firebending look like it is actually glowing and hot, you need to layer your colors perfectly. Start by coloring the very center of the flame with a bright, pale yellow. Then, color the middle layer with a vibrant orange, and the outside edges with a deep, dark red. The contrast will make the yellow core look incredibly bright and hot!
- 💧 Flowing Waterbending: Water is tricky to draw because it is clear and reflective! To make Katara’s waterbending look fluid and realistic, use three different shades of blue. Use a light blue marker for the base shape of the water. Then, use a dark blue pencil to draw sweeping, curved lines following the flow of the water. Leave a few thin, white streaks completely blank to represent shiny reflections of light on the water’s surface!
